Polyhedron Light

Based on the geometry of a simple sphere, a faceted polygon surface was generated. This polygon surface was then printed on parchment, cut out and glued together. This project was done, as part of the refabrik exhibition together with manystudio and later developed further to a refined product to be sold.

A chesterfield deep buttoned armchair reinterpret by reconstructing it through polygon surfaces in a computer program. As part of the refabriek project together with manystudio I transformed the digital model to a 2D developable surface, printed it and rebuilt it in paper.

Sand Casting

A polystyrene model is buried in casting sand. During the casting process the liquid aluminum burns the polystyrene away and replaces its position. The result is a same looking model but with different physical attributes. This work was shown on the DDW 2010 by Beeldenstorm.

Layer was a semester project at the HfG Schwäbisch Gmünd for a fictive client Grundig. I created an entertainment system, with transparent OLED displays which could slide in three joints aligned parallel to each other. The overlapping of the displays resulted in a overlapping of the content of each display.
